Martin Rodgers Chambers, Jr. – Passed away on February 4, 2025 at the age of 73 after a long battle with COPD. Rodger was born on October 18, 1951 to Martin and Sarah Katherine Hancock Chambers. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in Nashville,
TN.
Survived by his wife of 26 years, Marcella (Cooper) Chambers; daughters Jessica Johnson (Michael), Shera Chambers (Jeffrey Nicholson), step daughter Courtney Belcher (Daniel Hamblin), step son Hunter Burney (Kristen); grandchildren, Mya Slaughter, Trent Nicholson, Tucker Johnson, Cooper Johnson, Tanner Vick, Nicolette Hamblin Marble, Camillia Hamblin Marble, Sutton Burney, Giles Burney, Jude Burney, Jonah Burney.
Rodger is preceded in death by his parents, Martin Rodger and Sarah Hancock Chambers and his sister, Sarah Chambers Smith.
Rodger had a long career in the Dental Lab industry. He and his wife owned Phoenix Dental Lab for 23 years serving dentists in the Nashville and surrounding areas. He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren and enjoyed working with
wood and building things. He loved the ocean and the mountains. He will be remembered for his loving, kind and gentle spirit. The family wishes to thank each and every one that has reached out to offer condolences through calls, cards, gifts and prayers during this difficult time.
Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me.”
A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date.
