Mariah Neff (71) went to sing with the angels in the streets of heaven on April 4, 2025. She was born on May 4, 1953. Mariah’s life was defined by her love for God and her love for music.
She was a shining light in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Although her journey on this earth left her without any known biological family, she was proof that family is more than blood. She will be deeply missed by her faithful companion Tony Byrd, her forever treasured friends, and many loved ones.
Those who knew Mariah knew her for her big infectious smile and her overwhelming laughter. Mariah had so much determination and would fight with all she had for the things she believed in.
Mariah was on a mission to spread the love of God. Her dedication to her faith and her desire to bring light to those in need illustrated her generous and joyful nature.
Mariah was an amazing caregiver to numerous people and specialized in loving people during their last days. She used her talent of singing to bless those she loved as they crossed over into eternity.
Her love and talent for both country and gospel music allowed for many opportunities to not only win numerous awards, record a couple of cd’s, write several songs, but also blessed her with achieving her lifelong dream of singing on stage at the Grand Ole Opry.
Although Mariah’s physical appearance will no longer grace our lives, her spirit and music will continue to inspire and uplift us. As her memory and music continues to be a blessing to us, let us also leave a legacy of love and compassion to others in all that we do.
The memorial service to honor the life of Mariah Neff will be held on April 27, at 3:00 at Western Hills Church located at 7565 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37209. Pastor Linda Lambert and Pastor Greg Bacon will be officiating. Food and fellowship will follow.
